West Ham’s survival hopes are hanging by a thread after three straight Premier League defeats to Brentford, Arsenal and Newcastle United. The Hammers sit 18th in the table, two points from safety, and must beat Leeds on the final day while hoping Tottenham Hotspur lose to Everton. Despite their struggles, West Ham have lost just one of their last seven home league matches and defeated Leeds 3-1 in their most recent meeting at the London Stadium.
Leeds, meanwhile, have enjoyed a strong return to the Premier League under Daniel Farke and head into the final weekend on an eight-game unbeaten run. The Whites secured a dramatic 1-0 victory over Brighton last time out thanks to Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s stoppage-time winner, and they could still finish as high as 11th. Leeds have already beaten West Ham twice this season, including an FA Cup quarter-final success, and will now look to complete their first league double over the Hammers since 2002-03.
